Open Age, Westminster: Two exciting new courses for over-50s. £1 per session

Strictly Open Age, 10-11 am. 12-week programme. Starts 28th September.
Join Step Change Studios for a fun, engaging Latin & ballroom course. Participants will learn the different dance steps and sequences in a supportive social class. This class is designed for all abilities and sensory impairments.  


Performance Course, 11-12 pm. 9-week programme. Starts 5th October.
Would you like to perform at a glamorous tea dance? This special 9 week course led by Step Change Studios will prepare participants to present a beautiful, creative dance performance at a tea dance in the iconic Great Room at Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, taking place on 10th December. All abilities welcome.  *Participants must be available on the performance day!

 

 

AgeUK Hounslow, Free 10-week Latin & Ballroom Programme
Montague Hall, Montague Road, TW3 1LD

Starting 10th October, 12-1pm. The last class will be a festive class on 12th December.

A relaxed, social dance class for local older people of all abilities. People with visual impairments welcome.

 



 

Free Wheelchair Dance Talent Development Program
Ages 16+

Every Saturday from 14th October until 16th December. 3.15-4.15 pm
(no class 18th November).

Wheelchair dance is recognised by the International Paralympic Committee and people compete all around the world. Supported by the Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund, Step Change Studios are providing a free 9-week wheelchair dance development programme for people interested in competing or performing. 

The course will be led by a world-leading wheelchair dance champion who will take participants through the different Latin and ballroom dances, developing techinical and creative skills, building confidence, while ensuring everyone is enjoying their expereicne and able to develop at their own pace in a safe and friendly environment. You don't need a dance partner.

Whether you compete in other wheelchair sports and want a challenge n a new field or just love to dance - we will support you to develop your potential and progress along a pathway to compete at national and international level. For dance experience is helpful but not required. 

 

Places are limited to 15 participants. Advanced registration is required via email, phone or the form below.

Access

The Abbey Centre is wheelchair accessible with step free access and a lift to the main dance hall on the first floor and disabled toilet on the lower ground floor. The dance space is a bright, open room with exclusive use for this programme. Please see the media section of our website for photos of The Abbey Centre space we use.

The closest underground stations are: Westminster, Victoria, and St. James's Park.
By bus: 88 down Great Smith Street; 24, 11, 211, 148 down Victoria Street.

Private lessons

We offer private lessons for individuals or couples that either want to complement their group classes, prefer a one-to-one learning environment or would like private lessons to focus on specific goals or for a special occasion. We offer lessons through a range of studios across London or can come to your chosen venue. Please contact us for a quote as this is dependent on location.
