Through our links with partners and supporters, Step Change Studios offers regular opportunities to perform. We create new, innovative dance pieces that showcase inclusive dance, from community dance to world-class professional talent.

Since founding Step Change Studios, we have been heartened by the passion and commitment of the talented, dedicated artists and practitioners we work with. We were delighted to be awarded a grant from the Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund and Arts Council England to develop Fusion, the UK's first inclusive ballroom dance showcase supported by Sadler's Wells, which took place in May 2018. Following the success of Fusion, we returned to Sadler's Wells in 2019 with Fairy Tales. We made our international debut in the United States the same year, performing highlights from Fusion at a festival of physically integrated dance which showcased leading dance companies. The audience and media response to our productions continue to inspire us to pursue high quality, creative and ambitious dance that places diversity at its heart.

Step Change Studios has also been recognised for its work with film. In 2019, the short documentary 'Breaking Ballroom' about our inclusive dance practice was chosen for the official selection in a number of international film festivals including the Accessible Film Festival in Turkey, Manhattan Film Festival in New York and the Courage Film Festival in Berlin. The film shares the story of how Step Change Studios came to be established and eloquent, humorous, moving insight from dancers we work with.

We have performed and presented at a wide range of events and venues including: Royal Festival Hall, London; Manhattan Film Festival, New York; Lyric Theatre, London; Rich Dance Fest, Surrey; National Theatre River Stage, London; East London Dance Ideas Summit, Stratford Theatre; MOVEIT London; UK Design Museum; Cambridge Corn Exchange; Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park; May Ball, University of Cambridge. We were also the only UK organisation invited to represent inclusive dance at a major festival and conference of physically integrated dance in the United States in 2019, where we performed, taught and were part of an expert discussion panel.

We are available for commissions and to perform at festivals and events in the UK and internationally. Founder Rashmi Becker also has extensive experience chairing and participating in panel discussions, and presenting on a wide range of subjects related to dance, physical activity, disability and wellbeing. We welcome hearing from individuals and organisations interested in working with Step Change Studios.
