Through our links with partners and supporters, as well as the organisations we work with, Step Change Studios offers regular opportunities for our students to perform and in turn to inspire others to participate.
In setting up Step Change, we have been heartened by the input from talented, dedicated artists and practitioners who have provided advice and support. We were delighted to be awarded a grant from the Dance Enterprise Ideas Fund to develop a professional inclusive dance showcase in 2018.
Step Change has links with a wonderful range of disabled and non-disabled artists and are available for commissions and to perform at festivals and events. We also welcome hearing from other dance professionals and companies interested in inclusive dance collaborations.
We have performed at a wide range of events and venues including:
- MOVEIT London, The UK's biggest Dance Event
- Liberty Festival, London
- Big Dance Bus
- Cambridge Corn Exchange
- TogetherFest, Arts Depot London
- Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Tea Dance, Copper Box
- Parallel London
- Rotary Club of Great Britain & Northern Ireland Centenary Gala Dinner, Manchester
- Westminster Tea Dance, Grosvenor House Hotel, London
- May Ball, University of Cambridge
Increasingly, companies and organisations are engaging with dance as a way to bring people together, to team-build, and to entertain colleagues and clients. If you are interested in creating an inclusive dance-themed activity, from ‘Strictly’-style competition to themed group performance, or using dance to enhance disability awareness and confidence in your organisation, Step Change can provide creative and focused ideas and work with you deliver projects that will achieve your goals.
